Welcome! In April of 2012 we moved from the homestead in Aitkin County to settled on a little hobby farm south of Brainerd. We still enjoy the country life but in a much smaller scale. My 23 years on the homestead taught me skills I will carry with me for the rest of my life; sustainable, back to basics and heirloom living. Enjoy your visits as we are on a new adventure, living and loving our little hobby farm in the oak and pines.

Happy Summer Solstice
What a beautiful day for the Summer Solstice.
Here are pictures around the gardens this morning. The mint is ready for drying as you can see in the picture above left. My comfrey is blooming, pictured top right!
I've been drying nettle already. One can never have enough nettle. I plan on adding it to the goats and chicken's feed this winter.
Have a wonderful day!

Hey you. I love reading what you're doing even though I get to talk and see you often. I finally got out and weeded my garden, it's taking shape and I just picked my first cucumber tonight. YUM!!! You'll have to go check out my blog and see about the kids milking goats at Marks today. www.umengine3.blogspot.com
Take care Terri, talk with you later on.
